RIP Mount Rock

Some pictures of Mount Rock who was fatally injured in a horror fall at Ripon on 19th August 2017 in which jockey Nathan Evans was also injured, breaking his pelvis.

Mount Rock joined us as a yearling and was learning his trade. Improving with every race he looked to be a horse for the future.

It was just his fifth start when he ran at Ripon on 19th August 2017. Tragically he clipped heels with another horse two furlongs out and in a horrific fall he broke his leg, with jockey Nathan Evans suffering a double break of his pelvis.

We'll never know how good he could have been, but it serves as a reminder of the constant dangers faced by the brave horses and riders.
