Photo Feature: Some of the finds from the fields from over the years

For many years now the fields around the farm in Sheriff Hutton have been slowly giving up their secrets. It's an area steeped in history and I'm gobsmacked by what's turned up.

There's axe heads from the Stone Age about 4500 years ago, artefacts from the Romans and coins from various times over the last two millennia as well as fossils from way way back when our Alice was a little girl.

Learning what happened in an area where I've lived for the past seven decades years has been marvellous but it's now time to pass these treasures on.

So I'm offering my collection for sale with all proceeds going to help those wonderful people at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Please give me a call on 01347 878368 or send an email on enquiries@mickeasterby.co.uk if you'd like to bid.

Thanks,
Mick
