I am proud to introduce the brand new Lee Westwood Racing Syndicate which will consist of three racehorses to run on the flat in 2021 and 2022. The horses in the Syndicate are by Ardad, Camacho and Outstrip. They will run in Lee Westwood’s colours and the Syndicate members will get the chance to name the horses. In 2021 and 2022 members will be invited to Syndicate open days to watch the horses canter and to have a cup of COVID-free tea. Members will also be able to watch the horses race with owners' badges at the racecourse. At the end of the lease in October 2022, we will put the horses up for auction at Tattersalls October Horses In Training Sale (Newmarket). At this point the horses will be three years old. Let’s hope that they turn out to be good and we have some fun and plenty of racing. Prices Lease option: 5% = £1,500 deposit with 20 monthly payments of £150 x 20 (Mar 21 - Oct 22) OR an all inclusive single payment of £4,500 for 5% for the two years. Buy option: 5% = £2,250 deposit with 20 monthly payments of £200 x 20 (Mar 21 - Oct 22) OR an all inclusive single payment of £6,250 for 5% for the two years. The Horses Camacho x Drifting Mist Shaping quite nicely at the moment, he looks like he will be a late two year old type. We bought him for a very good price for a colt out of a black type mare and he could prove to be a very shrewd purchase. Ardad x High Cross A nice strong colt by Ardad, who won the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster in 2016. Due to COVID and the suspension of racing we broke the horse in during the summer (which is months earlier then we would normally do it) and he ended up beating all the two year olds on the gallop when he was ready for a piece of work. He was bought for a song as a foal and we’re putting him into the syndicate at cost. We think this could be a very nice horse. Outstrip x Be Lucky A homebred grey filly by Grade 1 winner Outstrip. She's not been in long but we have started breaking her in and Mick thinks she’s a very nice yearling and is one of the best looking that we have (we have 48 yearlings this time).
