Smiling Mick Easterby buried the hatchet yesterday and got his reward in Catterick's winner's enclosure.
"That Dettori will never ride for me again," raged the Yorkshire trainer after the jockey took an early bath instead of getting on one of his horses at Haydock last autumn.
But it was kiss and make-up time at Catterick as Frankie led from start to finish on the Easterby-trained top weight Hasta La Vista.
"I don't bear malice," insisted the trainer later. "We all have our disagreements at this game and I thought the jockeys were out of order at Haydock, but you have to put these things behind you."
Mick is enjoying a great season with 26 winners and it's all down to healthy horses.
"For once I haven't got any bugs on the place. You can be knocked out for a year and a half with a virus - it just comes and goes without any warning."
Easterby fancied his chances with another Dettori-ridden horse, Willliam's Well, in the last race but they had to settle for second behind Rum Lad in the five furlong dash.
