Issyin was a times winner, with victories over fences at Catterick, Nottingham, Hexham and twice at Wetherby. He was an enigmatic horse and often pulled himself up when he got bored with the race! Issyin was retired after finishing a long way back at Sedgefield over hurdles in 1999.
