Fridaythorpe made his debut at Wetherby in 2009, finishing runner up in a National Hunt Flat Race. His first win came at Wetherby in 2010 in a similar NH Flat Race where he was ridden by Oliver Greenall.
He finished third over hurdles at Wetherby and earned a rating of 113. He was placed again in 2012 at Catterick but would lose his form and after failing to complete his next four races switched to Point-to-Points.
