Indianira cost just 350 guineas from Scobie Breasley. He had arthritic shoulders and was a very cheap buy but won four times in nine weeks in June and July 1976 starting with a Lanark seller and then winning handicap at Ayr and twice at Newcastle. After his win at Lanark he was bought in for 4,200 gns, a course record.
