Goose Hill made her debut at Newcastle where she won the 'Leaf Selling Stakes' in August 1985.
In 1986 she won the Northern Free Handicap at Newcastle at odds of 5/1, beating Improvise by two and a half lengths.
"I didn't fancy her at all because she was cast in her box overnight and I had to put her on the horse waler at home. I even told the jocker that if there was anything wrong with her at the start she should be withdrawn without hesitation", said Mick Easterby after the race.
Goose Hill finished third at Thirsk in her last race in June 1986. She had raced nine times and was later sold and stood as a broodmare in Denmark.
