Tara Rose made her debut as a juvenile in the CArlton Stakes at Teesside in April 1969. She won the 'Garrion Selling Plate' at Hamilton in 1969. In 1971 she won the 'Grove Novices Hurdle' at Sedgefeld in 1971 ridden by Paddy Broderick where she was the 6/4 favourite having been placed (232) in her previous three races. Tara Rose retired after running at Sedgefield in 1974.
