King Pearl made his debut at Newcastle in April 1977 for his former trainer L Shedden. He came to the Easterby stable in 1978 and we won the 'Welbred Stakes 3yo Handicap' at Beverley in 1978 ridden by George Duffield. He was later sold to trainer M Naughton.
