This is Stanley (Run Resdev Run) who retired from racing last year. He is loving life off the track but doesn't seem too impressed by the emergency fly rug he's borrowed from his Auntie Lydia.
Have you ever seen a horse look so cross?
Owner Alannah has promised to find him a new one that's more his style.
Stanley was a yard favourite and despite only racing once everyone loved him. A homebred son of Cityscape he was born in 2016 and was a foal full of zest. His sole racecourse appearance was in a bumper at Kelso but he didn't have the speed to win and we made him available as part of our rehome scheme.
Stanley now lives near Harrogate with Alannah and Andrew and we are regularly entertained by reports of his antics.

Keep Warm will make his second appearance of 2024 when he lines up at Doncaster on Friday in the 'Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Handicap' at 5.30. Fourteen runners go to post for the Class 5 contest which closes Friday's card.
Running in the colours of John Blackburn, Keep Warm was a dual winner at Pontefract last July and he'll be ridden by Billy Garritty who was the successful rider on both occasions. After a promising reappearance at Thirsk earlier this month the son of Lightning Spear will have hopefully come on for the race and be amongst the prizemoney on Town Moor.

Spirit Of Acklam will make his season return at Beverley on Thursday.
A winner as a two-year-old at Ayr last September, the strapping son of Cracksman tackles the 'Still Alive At 75 Kathie Emery Novice Stakes' over ten furlongs on the Westwood.
It will be Beverley's first meeting of 2024 after the East Yorkshire track had to abandon it's planned initial fixture due to a waterlogged track.

Copper Mountain and Joanna Mason were winners at Wetherby this afternoon.
The home-bred daughter of Sir Percy took the 'Royal Pigeon Racing Association Handicap' in an exciting finish, prevailing by a neck from the Cieren Fallon ridden Rose's Girl.
Copper Mountain was recording her third win.
