News from July 27th

Glorious Kitty and Two Brothers face small fields at York

Glorious Kitty has her second racecourse outing on Saturday where she line sup for the six furlong 'Sky Bet Club EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes'. A purchase from Goffs Breeze Up Sales at Doncaster for £68,000 she finished fourth in the Listed Marygate Stakes on her debut and looks a filly with ability. She has a Group 2 entry in the Lowther Stakes here in August.

A field of just seven runners have been declared for the Class 2 contest where Spherical and the unbeaten Beauty Queen carry penalties for their previous victories. Interestingly Beauty Queen is an own sister to our very own Call To Action.

Two Brothers is also in action in the 'Sky Bet, For The Fans Handicap' over a mile and a half where just six runners go to post. Two Brothers has been a revelation over the past two seasons but his best form is on easy ground and York is currently riding good to firm.

Billy Garritty takes both rides.

Le Beau Garcon and Pardon Me in cross card double

Le Beau Garcon was a winner at Beverley this afternoon under Paul Mulrennan.

Showing much promise on his debut earlier in the month the son of Brazen Beau built on the experience to take the five furlong novice event and provide Mick and David with their first juvenile winner of 2021.

The double was completed at Perth where Pardon Me won over fences. She was following up her victory earlier this month at Uttoxeter and won in convincing style.
