The horses come first here at Michael & David Easterby Racing. Whether in or out of training we pledge to provide first class care for any horse for which we are responsible.
The duty of care extends beyond racing and we aim to rehome all of our retired racehorses. We often make our ex-racehorses available for sale and recent years have seen former racehorses go on to thrive in careers including polo, Point-to-Pointing, showjumping, horseball and eventing. In some cases ex-racehorses can be taken on as pets or riding horses.
Please note: If you would like to rehome an ex-racehorse from Mick & David then send a private message via Facebook Messenger setting out the age/gender/size you are looking for and a little bit about your experience of working with thoroughbreds. We have a mailing list and we send round details of horses where they match the criteria set out by those looking to rehome.

Adaay With Michael is a three-year-old gelding by Adaay. He has run four times on the flat but hasn't the speed to win a race. He is RoR qualified.
We know him by his stablename of 'Michael' or 'Micky' for short.
Michael has been with us since he was a foal, and he's had all of his education here at New House Farm. He's has been leading and helping educate the young horses over the last few months. Michael is a kind and gentle horse and he's been brilliant at his job. However, it's now time for him to find a new career of his own.
A stunning grey gelding by El Kabeir, Musical Masquerade stands at 16.2hh.
He joined us as a yearling from Goffs Sales at Doncaster in 2020 and he's received all of his education here at New House Farm.
Musical Masquerade has run twice under National Hunt rules and nine times on the flat but he doesn't have the speed to be a winner on the track.
We are therefore making Musical Masquerade available for sale out of racing. He is fully RoR qualified having raced on both the flat and over jumps.
Musical's final run will be in the Graham Lee Charity Race at Thirsk Racecourse on Friday 26th July. Potential buyers can go along and watch him run!
