Rehome update: Lady Douglas in fine form

Lady Douglas was a winner this weekend as she collected her first red rosettes with owner Natalie. They were winners at South Lodge Stables Retraining of Racehorses in the ridden four, five and six year olds class. It was a fine way to celebrate Lady Douglas's birthday as she turned four on Good Friday.

Lady Douglas is proving a huge success off the track.

Lady Douglas was rehomed in the autumn of 2024 having retired from racing. She raced seven times but didn't have the speed to win so we made her available through our rehoming programme.

Natalie came to the yard to view Lady Douglas and immediately fell in love with her straight away.

"She's just amazing!" says Natalie. "I can't get over just how laid back she is, she takes absolutely everything in her stride! We've not had a single battle yet!"

Natalie's daughter Florence also took part with her grey pony and they enjoyed a fabulous day.

Don't forget, we regularly have quality horses off the track available for rehoming so drop us a message on Facebook Messenger if you'd like to join our rehoming list. We've been rehoming ex-racehorses for many years and love to keep in touch with our friends old and new.
