It's an exciting time of year for owners as the two-year-olds are readied for their debuts. And part of the process is to decide on the names of the new horses. The latest horse to be named is 'Youvegotoshowmeluv'. The horse's name comes from the lyric of a 1993 hit by American singer and songwriter Robin S. (Robin Stone) called 'Show Me Love'. "I like that name", says trainer David Easterby. "Let's hope the horse is as good as the song". |

John Blackburn loves to use all 18 of the permitted characters for his horse names, with Sovereignlightcafe (after the song by Keane) and Neverwrongforlong having been previous recipients of John's fabulous imagination for naming his horses. |

We've had fun with horse names and songs of late, and two years ago we were told that we were not allowed to name a two-year-old 'Jungle Love'. We're still not sure what that was all about but he was eventually given another music related name, Minneapolis Sound. |
