Stitch is a four-year-old gelding by Camacho who we purchased from Tattersalls Sales in October 2021 as a yearling. Unfortunately he wasn't fast enough to race and in 2023 we decided to find him a new career. He didn't receive a racing name but we knew him as 'Stitch' which was derived from the name of his dam, Embroidery.

Stitch was made available through our rehoming programme which is where he caught the eye of Anita Douglas.

Now living in the beautiful Scottish borders Stich has settled into his new home with Anita and her family and after many adventures he's now started his cross-country schooling.

Stitch is a natural jumper and loves his cross-country schooling.

"He loved his cross-country schooling this morning," says Anita. "He just loves to jump."

"The instructor commented on him, saying how he has loads of scope and huge potential for the future. He's such a fun loving horse."

As well as a spot of jumping Stitch loves hacking and he's a regular around Duns with his friend Memphis the pony.

The future is bright for this ex-racehorse who is now an important part of Anita's family and everyone's looking forward to many years of fun.

Our rehoming programme has been a resounding success, with horses finding homes as far afield as Inverness, West Wales, Cornwall and Kent. If you'd like to join our mailing list then drop us a message via Facebook and we'll let you know when the next horses are available.
