There were no crowds to applaud homebred filly Bankawi this afternoon when she ran out the winner of the Kirby Wiske Handicap at Thirsk. Bankawi was the yard's first winner since racing restarted after the suspension due to the COVID-19 virus. She was carrying the colours of Southbank Racing and was ridden by Nathan Evans. The daughter of Coach House was recording her second victory from just eight starts. |
