Joanna Mason has been confirmed as one of the jockeys for the International Jockeys Challenge at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh on 24 February, the opening day of The Saudi Cup meeting.

The 14 jockeys are made up of seven international female riders, five international men and two local men with the jockeys receiving 15% of prize money won in each of the four races.

It's an exciting time for Joanna, who only turned professional in 2020, as she sets out for Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

Joanna has gone from strength to strength since turning pro, and has ridden over 40 winners in both of her full seasons. She has quickly become one of the top jockeys in the north of England, popular both amongst the racing public and her weighing room colleagues.

In 2022 Joanna received an invite to the prestigious Shergar Cup at Ascot, riding the winner of the opening race. She is blessed with a fabulous temperament and loves the opportunity to rise to new challenges.

We all wish Joanna the very best of luck in her latest international assignment.
