Come On Linda: Rehome update

We were delighted to hear from Hayley who recently rehomed six-year-old mare Come On Linda.

Come On Linda was named by our late and dear friend, owner Linda Folwell. When we tried to sell her a horse we'd always say "Oh come on Linda". And then one day, when her horse was ready for naming Linda said to us "That's the name, I'll call her 'Come On Linda'."

Linda Folwell enjoyed much success as a racehorse owner, with Arrowtown, Black Grass and Magic City amongst her many winners.

Linda sadly died in 2021 after a short illness but her name is kept alive by her pride and joy, Come On Linda.

Come On Linda was one of Linda's favourite horses. She was placed eight times from 19 starts, and was unlucky not to win having been beaten just a short head at Chelmsford in 2021. After racing Come On Linda became a broodmare before retiring from the paddocks and being rehomed.

Come On Linda has settled well and is loving life after racing

"Come On Linda has settled in well down in Leicestershire," says Hayley. "We've been hacking out alone and in company and she enjoys being out in the field with the sheep! She's brill".

We love to hear how our old pals get along when they retire from racing and we make sure that we always find them a new career. It doesn't matter if they were multiple winners or didn't even make the grade, there's a place in life for all of them!
