Shimmering Sands was an easy winner in the 'Tanya Hall's 50th Birthday Celebration Handicap' on Town Moor this afternoon. Last week he ran a very nice race on his seasonal debut, finishing third at Pontefract, and we knew he'd come on for the race. Jockey Joanna Mason kept Shimmering Sands handy throughout the race and there was plenty in the tank as the pair drew clear in the final two furlongs. Carrying the colours of Imperial Racing, Shimmering Sands was recording his third career victory. |
