PEST CONTROL AND SECURITY
TRAINER
Mick has trained racehorses for over 60 years and has sent out over 2,500 winners.
TRAINER
David holds a joint training licence with his father, Michael.
JOCKEY
Joanna rides as a professional jockey, having gained her licence in November 2020.
HEAD LAD
Mark is our Head Lad and looks after the bottom yard and keeps things running smoothly.
JOCKEY
Billy rides as a professional jockey and holds a dual purpose licence.
HEAD LASS
Dilys keeps the Sheepclose yard in order. She has worked here for many years, having joined in the late 1970s.
APPRENTICE JOCKEY
Lewis joined the stable in 2022 and rides as an apprentice jockey.
TRAVELLING HEAD GIRL
Katie is well known for making long trips and she is no stranger to clocking up the miles with the horsebox.
PTP TRAINER & SYNDICATE MANAGER
Steph is a successful Point-to-Point Trainer and runs the Syndicates.
RACING SECRETARY
Wendy has worked here for over 30 years and is responsible for the administration, the entries and the finances.
VET
Matt is our vet, and provides a fantastic service looking after the health needs of our horses on behalf of Minster Equine.
WORK RIDER
Jane has been here for many years now riding work and taking care of the horses.
AMATEUR JOCKEY AND WORK RIDER
Serena is one of the country's top lady amateur riders and rides out most mornings.
WORK RIDER
Sarah works at the Sheep Close yard and can often be seen leading up our runners at the racecourse.
AMATEUR JOCKEY AND WORK RIDER
Philip joined us in February 2019 as a work rider. He also rides as an amateur on the flat and as a Point-to-Point jockey.
WORK RIDER
Gypsy joined us in 2023. She looks after the horses and also takes the horses racing.

Gypsy is a prolific winner of best turned out prizes at the racecourse and she always presents our runners in immaculate order.
WORK RIDER
Sara rides out every morning and also takes the horses racing.
WORK RIDER
Aleesha joined us in 2023 as a work rider. She formerly worked on a livery yard but now rides out our racehorses on the gallops.
STABLE HAND/RIDER (SATURDAYS)
Alex attended the Open Day in September and fancied working at the yard, so she gave us a call and now comes in on Saturdays!

Sarah joined us in summer 2019 as part time racing secretary.

Often to be seen around the yard, main job: shoeing the horses.

Albert keeps himself busy with many tasks around the yard.
VARIOUS
A collection of ex-battery hens who provide a number of services including cleaning up spilt grain and producing wonderful eggs.
PEST CONTROL
A black and white farm cat who has captured everyone's hearts with his antics.

Patsy is a black Patterdale. She keeps the rat and mouse population down in the yard!
