Three rehomes in four days!

Three rehomes in four days!

It's been a great few days on the rehoming front!

Yard favourite Eagle Creek was retired from racing after finishing down the field at Southwell on Friday evening and it didn't take him long to find a new home!

A three time winner he'd told us that he didn't want to carry on racing and it was time to let him enjoy his retirement away from the track.

A lovely kind and gentle horse, Eagle will be heading to Warwickshire in the New Year but for the next fortnight he will remain at the yard and relax and we'll help him transition from racing.

Leaving the yard last week was three-year-old filly Lady Douglas. A well bred cousin of the legendary Hoof It, she didn't have the speed for the track. However, she's excelled in her retraining and has shown herself to be a fantastic jumper. Lady Douglas will enjoy her retirement with Natalie and we wish them many happy years together.

Lady Douglas has settled in nicely at her new home

Thanks to everyone who messaged us about Tilly. We've never had such a response to a rehome with over 40 messages offering her a new home.

A well bred filly, Tilly is from a family we know well, being a daughter of six times winning mare Miss Sheridan. She stands at just 14.3hh and is the perfect project horse and was soon snapped up after being offered for sale!

Tilly has a long journey ahead and will be leaving New House Farm on Monday. She'll enjoy a nice relaxing winter break in Devon before beginning training in the spring.

Don't forget if you are looking for the perfect off the track just drop us a message. We have rehomed many dozens of horses from racing and we have regularly have ex-racehorses available and ready for a new career.

We had over 40 enquiries about two-year-old Tilly
