Returning to the scene of his first victory which came back in September 2023 Spirit Of Acklam was ridden by Joanna Mason who has been the successful rider in all of his career wins.

"He just needs cover", said Joanna after the race. "He loves to wind up passing horses and he's got a turn of foot."
"I'd like to see him back at a mile", said co-trainer David Easterby. "But he's gone through with it today and he got the ten furlongs nicely." |
