Six-year-old mare Copper Mountain has been retired after a 44 race career.

Foaled in 2019 out of black type mare Aetna, she started her career in the colours of breeder Brian Padgett before switching to the Laura Mason Syndicate in October 2021.

The daughter of Sir Percy went on to win five races and was placed seven times, earning over £33,000 in prizemoney.

Copper Mountain was at her best on the all weather, with four wins from 30 starts, her sole turf win coming at Wetherby in 2022.

Copper Mountain's final win came at Newcastle in March, but she's shown us in her latest two races that she's fallen out of love with being a racehorse and we've taken the decision to let her find a new career.

A kind and gentle mare who has done everything asked of her, Copper Mountain has been rehomed and will enjoy retirement at her new home as she heads to the south of England.
