Carlton Freddie retired from racing last year and we decided he didn't have the racing ability to carry on this season.
Fred was rehomed to Georgie in Essex and today she messaged us with an update.
"Fred's been an absolute star," says Georgie. "He won the award for the cutest pony on the yard and one of the best behaved. We've been out on a couple of steady hacks wandering around the countryside with my old boy nannying, and been up in the school a handful of times with some long lining as well."
"He's done everything asked with golden stars and got better every time so is having some easy time to grow into himself before picking him up again. He's met both my physio's and they also are in love."
"He didn't take too long to convince us that he doesn't seem to have the urge to race much. He'll 100% have the best time living in the slightly slower lane here."
