We head north to Scotland on Tuesday with two runners over hurdles at Perth.

Rose's Dart has been on a summer break since finishing third at Wetherby in March and she'll line up for the Perth & Kinross Foodbank Mares' Maiden Hurdle. The four year old has been placed in two of her four outings and has plenty of ability. She faces eight rivals in the two mile contest which looks a competitive event in which some decent bumper horses are looking to make their mark over timber.

The Resdev Tyke makes his handicap debut off a mark of 98 in the Equine Products UK Best Turned Out Handicap Hurdle. He also returns after a summer break, having finished third in both of his precious races. Nathan Wells looks the horse to beat and bids to follow up his course and distance win for trainer Andrew Hamilton.

We enjoy our visits to Perth and have sent out seven winners at the track over the years, the most recent being Pardon Me in 2021.

Carolus Magnus bids to follow up at Newcastle.

Carolus Magnus ended a four year drought last time out at Musselburgh and he'll bid to follow up at Newcastle where he drops back to six furlongs. The seven-year-old has yet to win on the all weather but he's in fine heart right now. He runs in the Midnite A Next Generation Betting App Apprentice Handicap which closes the Tuesday evening card at Gosforth Park. He's the only last time out winner in the field and the danger may come from two horses who ran in separate divisions of a six furlong race here 12 days ago. Asadjumeirah was runner up in his division last time out whilst Superior Council was third in the second division and both look dangers.
