A lovely chestnut gelding, Ganbei was a half brother to five different winners under rules. He won nine times as a point to point to pointer, with wins at Dalton Park, Charm Park, Bangor, Whitcliffe Grange, North Carlton, Tabley and Heslaker. Ganbei won his first race under rules at Huntingdon in February 2016 where he took a handicap hurdle. He was a winner again at Kelso in March and then won a marathon 3m 2f handicap hurdle at Stratford in May.

Ganbei also won at Market Rasen and at Bangor in 2017.

Ganbei retired in 2018.

Name notes:

Ganbei is Chinese for 'cheers'.
