Imperial Sunrise made her debut at Beverley in April 1985. She won the 'Craigmore Selling Stakes' at Ayr in 1986 and the 'Northern Machine Tools Handicap' at Redcar in 1987. She was due to make her last racecourse appearance at Redcar in the 'Autumn Handicap' on 21st October 1987 but the meeting was abandoned after heavy rain.
