Here at Mick & David Easterby Racing we pride ourselves in having some of the best owners in the world. Over the years we've had so many enthusiastic owners who come to visit their horses and bring them treats. Mr Maxwell Morrison is a regular visitor and makes sure that his horses are rewarded for their hard work. Polos and carrots are usually the order of the day and the carrots come by the sackful. |

Mr Morrison has been an owner at the yard for a number of years. He first came to New House Farm when he won a share in a racehorse in a charity auction. Unfortunately his first horse didn't manage to win a race and so he instead took a share in Min Till and ever since he's never looked back. Min Till has won two races but one thing has led to another! |

Mr Morrison has had a vintage season on the track. His star mare is Reach, who has won three races, most recently at York's Ebor Festival. He also owns promising juvenile Spirit Of Acklam, who was a winner at Ayr's Western Meeting earlier this month. Spirit Of Acklam had run well at York in on of the best maiden races in the racing calendar. Having run green for the first half of the race the penny dropped and he finished well. Then at Ayr he turned the tables on Sisyphean who had finished two lengths in front of him at York. |

"He'll be a better horse at three will Spirit", says Mr Morrison who is a big fan of Spirit's sire, Cracksman. Spirit Of Acklam came to the stable as a yearling from the sales and was the first of his cohort to receive a racing name. The wise owner has big plans for Spirit and also for his star mare Reach. We'll keep those under wraps for now but we're all looking towards some big race entries in 2024. |

"What's the point of having horses if you don't come and see them? I love to come down to the yard and treat them!" says Mr Morrison. "They deserve it, why not reward them?" |

It's a sentiment that we love and we always make sure that our owners are welcome to visit their horses and follow their progress.
Owners are the key to the sport and without owners there's no racing! |
