Sondad has won at Epsom and Ascot this season, whilst Canon's House has reeled off a hat-trick with wins at Carlisle, Thirsk and Hamilton.
However, as the weights stand both horses are currently some way off making the cut for the race and will need to boost their handicap marks with further wins to get into the Saturday showpiece.
