Racing

The Resdev Scholar heads to Doncaster on Saturday as the curtain comes down on the 2025 turf season.

The two-year-old son of Mehmaas has been our star juvenile of the 2025 season and he bids to make it three in a row after wins at Musselburgh and Doncaster. Joanna Mason has established a fine partnership with the horse and again takes the ride as The Resdev Scholar heads back to Town Moor for the Virgin Bet Daily Price Boosts Nursery Handicap. Ten horses have been declared, with Tim Easterby's Go Vince Go heading the weights from a rating of 87.

The race sees The Resdev Scholar drop back in trip to six furlongs after winning his last two starts over seven and our horse will race off just a pound higher mark then last time having been raised to 72 for winning here in October.

The Resdev Scholar and Nathan Evans after exercise

There's been plenty of rain in South Yorkshire but the soft ground shouldn't be an inconvenience to The Resdev Scholar who posted his last victory on heavy going here last month.

The Resdev Scholar has been busy since joining us from the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale and will be having his tenth start. He's ridden at home by Nathan Evans who has put a lot of work in and should take much of the credit for getting the horse into peak condition.
