Ex-racehorses Frankyboy, Edens Choice and Copper Burn are all enjoying their careers after racing at the same yard in South Yorkshire. Now on the RoR circuit all three are loving their new roles and yesterday Alex, who owns Frankyboy, gave us an update along with some photos.
"Well!" says Alex. "Where do I start?"
"Yesterday we had my fantastic trainer Sarah Ellis (In Touch With Your Horse) come to teach Frankyboy to load as he's had trouble with this."
"Today we embarked on our first in-hand outing at the RoR at the The National Horseracing College in Doncaster.
Frankyboy was pipped to the post by Copper Burn for the coverted Aintree Qualifier.
We came fourth in that class."
"We went on to Class 10 which was best in condition where Franky pulled out the stops and gained a second!"
Thich lead us into the Championship. Frankyboy was crowned Reserve Champion, and then again in the overall championship as Reserve Supreme Champion!"
Words cannot express how happy I am with Frankyboy. His fancy footwork today has really shown there truly is life after racing."
"Today was a triple outing for not just Frankyboy but Edens Choice, and Copper Burn. I'll leave them to tell you all about their experience."
