York holds it's 'Family RaceDay' this weekend as we send Call To Action to the Knavesmire for the Fine Details Car Valeting Sprint Handicap.

The son of Soldier's Call has been runner up three times from four starts this season and he'll bid to record his third career win.

Call To Action returned from a three month break when runner up at Beverley last month and he'll again be ridden by Joanna Mason.

Call To Action joined us in summer 2024 from Kevin Ryan after winning at Newcastle. He's since been a victim of his own consistency and is still six pounds higher than when winning at Ripon in July 2025 despite being winless in four races since.

A field of 21 go to post for this handicap over five and a half furlongs. The form horse in the field is Harb, but a whopping eight pound penalty may be sufficient to deny him his twelfth career win. Explosive Finnish won over course and distance last time and likes York, whilst Havana Rum has been running creditably in a better grade than this and should go well.
