Ex-racehorse Ring Of Gold wins first at his first show

Stable favourite Ring Of Gold retired last month after fabulous career on the track.

The nine-year-old signed off after winning five races and earning over £50,000 in prizemoney and he was rehomed to Lauren Bainbridge in the north east.

Lauren has formed a very strong bond with the son of Havana Gold and at the weekend the apir picked up a couple of first place rosettes at a local show at Holmside Hall.

"Ringo was been amazing all day," said Lauren after the show. "I'm really pleased with him. He was happy tied up eating his net watching the world go by."

Lauren is looking to take Ringo to a camp next month and has high hopes for him in the show ring next year.
