It's hard to put into words the loss of one of the very best people I have ever known.
Jeff sorted out the drainage on the farm and what a marvellous job he did for me over the years. He was the first man I would think of when the waters caused a problem and the phrase "Where's Jeff" was well known. So much so that a racehorse now carries the name!
Yesterday Jeff lost his life in a road accident and I still find it hard to believe that I won't ever share a day's work or a joke with my pal. His passing has left a huge hole in our tight-knit community where Jeff was known to all.
Everyone at the yard wishes to pass on their condolences to Jeff's family and please let me know if I can be of any help.
Rest In Peace Jeff, the world will be a darker place without you my friend.
