Miss Smartypants is a well-bred mare by the 2006 Arc winner Rail Link. She is from a fabulous winning family, being a half-sister to multiple jumps winner Steel City (rated 123 at his peak) and also to four-times winning mare Miss Sassypants (rated 116). Miss Smartypants was rated 94 over hurdles.

Miss Smartypants' dam is the versatile winning mare Serraval, who recorded victories at Beverley and at Fontainebleau (France) from 8f to 10f. She was also placed ten times including twice over hurdles.
