Elliwan came from mark Johnston's stable in 2008. He was beautifully bred by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud. Elliwan raced mainly on the all weather and was a winner at Southwell in 2009 ridden by Frederick Tylicki. Elliwan also raced over hurdles but was well beaten in all three jumps starts. He ran his last race under rules finishing last at Carlisle in 2010 and was sold to go Point-to-Pointing.
