Purchased at Tattersalls October Sale 1998 Rakeeb was bought out of Alec Stewart's stable as a dual winner. He made his stable debut at Thirsk in 1999 and won the 'Furniture Factors Racing Schools Apprentice Handicap' at Doncaster in 2000 under Paul Goode. Rakeeb was ridden in novice hurdles by Lord Manton but failed to win over jumps. He was beset with training problems in 2000 and ran his last race when tailed off at Hexham in 2001.
