Tennessee Blaze details

Tennessee Blaze is a good looking three-year-old gelding standing at 16.2hh. He has run three times on the flat but does not have the speed to win a race.

We know Blaze well and he has always been a popular horse with the staff as he's a very nice and straightforward ride. He has been at the yard for two years, having joined us from Doncaster Sales in 2021 for £12,000.

A beautifully bred son of seven times Group 1 winner Highland Reel, Blaze is a grandson of the mighty Galileo. Sire Highland Reel won on three continents including two Hong Kong Vases, the Breeders' Cup Turf (Santa Anita, 2016) and Secretariat Stakes (Arlington, 2015) in the USA as well as three Group 1 races (at Epsom and Ascot). Blaze's dam is the American bred mare Don't Forget Faith, who was Group 3 placed and also won at Newmarket. She was another globe-trotter, having raced in France, Canada and the USA as well as Great Britain.

Blaze is ROR qualified and we are now making him available for sale out of racing. He is calm, gentle and quiet and very easy to do. He has been loose schooled over barrels and jumps well.

Tennessee Blaze last raced on 28th September 2023 at Southwell.
