Roll It In Glitter joined us from the Doncaster Breeze Up Sales in 2022, a well bred son of the 2017 Group 2 Superlative Stakes winner Gustav Klimt.
Winning at Ayr and Beverley as a three-year-old Roll It In Glitter raced 12 times for Middleham Park Racing and collected £11,282 in prizemoney.
However, in 2024 he fell out of love with racing and decided that he didn't want to be a racehorse any more. We never make our horses do anythign they don't want to, and after finishing well beaten at Newcastle in August we decided to find him something else to do.
Roll It In Glitter was rehomed to Essex with Nicola Claxton in September 2024 and has really thrived since leaving racing.
"He is now known as Gustav or 'Gusty' for short," says Nicola. "He is a lovely lad, not so little now, as he has just had a growth spurt and is just touching 16.1 hands. We've been having a variety of lessons flat work, pole work and Working Equitation. He is so clever and really figures out what is being asked of him and he's also still enjoying hacking out."
