Saturday racing: Liverpool Star and Canon's House in action

Liverpool Star will head to Ripon on Saturday as he seeks his second win of the 2026 season.

The three-year-old won over course and distance in April and will line up for the Michael Raby Memorial Handicap.

Liverpool Star hasn't made the frame in five races since his maiden win and as a consequence is back down to a handicap mark of 65, the rating from which he won in April.
Canon's House is another horse returning to the scene of his last victory and he tackles the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap over the minimum trip.

Successful over course and distance last August he's on a ten race losing run now and now rated 80 he's six pounds below his latest winning mark.

The five-year-old ran his best race of the year when going down to Copper Knight by a head at Beverley in April, and he was third here in July from a mark of 86.
