The curtain comes down on Redcar's 2026 season on Monday as we send five runners to the seaside track.

With the clocks going back at the weekend its an early start and our first runner is Here's To It in the racingtv.com/freetrial British EBF Novice Stakes at 12.25. Eleven horses go to post and Amo Racing's Olympiacos looks the one to beat here after running well at Yarmouth last time. Here's To It ran well on her debut over course and distance but trailed in last at Ayr in September. Joanna Mason takes the ride.

The Resdev Tyke is an interesting runner in the ten furlong novice race for three-year-olds and over. The dual winning hurdler makes his flat debut having won at Wetherby last December and market Rasen in January. The standard in the race is set by the only horse with a BHA mark, the 79-rated Nascondino, whose runner up placing at Nottingham earlier this month is the pick of the flat form on offer.

The seven furlong handicap at 3.00 sees Head For Freedom in action for what may be his last race for the stable. The son of Iffraaj is included in a ten-strong draft for Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training sale at the end of the week and he'll be doing everything he can to impress potential buyers. He ran very well when runner up at Ayr earlier in the month, having secured his sole career win last year at Beverley. The danger is Kiss Me My Love, who was beaten just a short head over course and distance last time, whilst Uncertainty and Phoenix Of Dreams both bring winning form into the race.

Redcar's final race of the year has divided and we run Big Apple Jack in Division I and Beauty Choice in Division II of the Thanks And See You Next Season Handicap.

Big Apple Jack has been in fine form, and recorded his first career when in September at Hamilton in first time blinkers and has run well his two races since, most recently when third of 10 over seven furlongs at Ayr. He'll cope with the soft ground, the blinkers go back on and we drop back to six furlongs.

Beauty Choice

Beauty Choice is in his veteran years now and drops into Class 6 company for the first time in his career. He returned from a four month break at Pontefract last month and ran well, finishing ninth but beaten only five and a quarter lengths in a race where they finished in a heap.

Beauty Choice is a seven time winner and is now 13 pounds below his most recent winning mark. He's won on heavy, soft and good to soft ground and the recent rain will be in his favour.
