Bombe was a grey filly by Roan Rocket. She made her debut at Carlisle in 1976 where she finished third. She went on to win races at Carlisle (twice), Beverley and Hamilton in 1976. At Beverley in September she was disqualified when bidding to win her fifth race of the season. Bombe raced 14 times.
